Speaking of eating I am vacationing in the countryside of Wisconsin for one glorious week! I am having the time of my life. There is a piece of my heart in Wisconsin. When I enter the state I have this odd sensation that I am coming home. Could it be Culver's frozen custard? The outright friendliness and enthusiasm that almost rivals my own? The jolly residents? Or my beloved manic sister who makes attendance/rsvp spreadsheets for her children's birthday parties? I think it's like a Culver's vanilla sundae swirled with hot caramel and Spanish peanuts - a gleeful mix.
Moments after taking yet another Instagram picture on my iPhone, I realized that I have not shared with you my account! Oh internet, how I have failed thee! For those of you that have no idea what Instagram is, it was voted app of the year, and with good reason. Instagram is an app exclusively for iPhones. It takes pictures in a square format and everything you shoot (and give the ok to!) shows up on your public account. It is sort of like facebook but with only pictures. Your friends can follow you, comment, and "favorite" images.
What I love about Instagram is that I can share little snapshots of my everyday behind-the-scenes life that I never would have blogged about or even tweeted about. The biggest perk of the super app is that I have gotten to know friends on a whole new level! People whose walls I would never write on feel comfortable leaving comments or "liking" my images; and vice-versa. Pictures are worth a thousand words.
I could try to use words to set the scene for the neon lights under which my little sister broke her wrist within 10 seconds of entering the roller rink yesterday morning for our nephew's birthday party, but I think the Katy Perry pink Instagram picture says it all.
